There was something about this room, the positivity calmed me.

I looked at Priti, She had a smile, “Vivaan, what have you decided?”

I smiled, “It’s difficult, many things are at stake.”

Priti replied, “Perhaps, but your mental health is much more important. You have to take the first step. I am there to help you. Write the pros and cons of everything.”

I sighed, “I am unable to take a decision.”

Seeing 20 missed calls from Reena, I left abruptly saying, “Let’s talk next week.”

Maybe I didn’t want to see the truth.

Entering my house, I knew something was amiss. I have all the things which money could buy, except Peace.

Reena entered with a knife in her hand. She ranted, “Where have you been? You were not in your office, enjoying with girlfriends?”

Me, a renowned Businessman, have to lie about everthing, even visiting a therapist, because I was scared of triggering anything in Reens’s mind.

I made Reena sit and took the knife calmly. She had a small but deep cut. Our first-aid boxes were always handy.

Reena said, “This time you have gone too far. I have written a note blaming you, that you have physically abused and raped me. You will soon be behind bars. Your business, Your name all gone.” She had a sadistic laugh.

A time comes when you say Enough.

Keeping the knife in front of her, I called her Doctor and walked out of the house.

Reena had inflicted many wounds on herself, but the Scars were on my heart.

Sometimes Love is just not Enough.

I was sad but filled with a deep sense of Serenity.

Looking at the sky, I could hear my Mother’s voice, “Don’t give so much of yourself to others, that you end up losing yourself.”
