Your protagonist goes about life as usual until one day, they meet a very unusual character. At first, things seem normal, then their life changes. Write a story with this as the central idea.
Keep this in mind: The introduction of the unusual character should happen in the first act.
Examples: Your Character meets a ghost (Sixth Sense), a kidnapper (Saw), God himself (Bruce Almighty), etc. Only your imagination is your limit.

- Word limit: Minimum 2000 and maximum 3000 words.
–>Please note that Endnotes/footnotes in entries will be excluded from Word count only when they stand independent of the story and act as a reference.

- You are expected to post your entries on the ArtoonsInn Writers Room website | writers.artoonsinn.com. Sign up on the website in case you haven’t already, to submit your writing. Ensure you check relevant categories (Genre/Theme) that your story is most relevant to while submitting. Any one team member can upload on his/her user ID. However, add both the writer’s name in the beginning.
- Upload a non-copyrighted cover picture along with your writing (Refer www.unsplash.com). Make sure to add photographer credits at the bottom of your writing.
- Share the link to your story, once it is approved, in the ArtoonsInn Writers Room Facebook group with your post description and hashtags #ArtoonsInnWritersRoom #Artales-21.
- Submissions deadline: 22nd June 2021 at midnight IST. Entries submitted after the deadline will be considered as Guest entries. Winner/s will be announced on Recognition Day, 30th June 2021 on www.facebook.com/ArtoonsInn.
- In case of any issues with your partners, please reach out to us.
- We are bringing Reader ratings back to Artales-21. This means your reviews/ratings are very very important. 20% weightage will be given to reader ratings. Share a review and rate a story on a scale of 1-10.
- Individually 75% rulfy status is mandatory. Example: If there are 20 stories. Any participant has to read and rulfy at least 15 stories.
- For the team, 100% Rulfy status is mandatory. Example: If there are 20 stories, at least one writer from each team has to read and rate all 19 stories (apart from their own).
- Take care of your Mental Health as much as you do of your Physical Health.
