Write a 1500-2000 worded tale. No restriction except for the word count.
The person who consistently gives the most insightful reviews is the winner of this month’s event. Submission of a story is not mandatory for reviewers, but preferred. Reviewing is open to one and all and can be of any length and must be posted in the comment section of the story, when posted on the FB timeline of the Writers Room.
Reviewing a story is a thankless job, but a necessary one. Imagine going to an interview with spinach stuck between your teeth. Embarrassing, ain’t? Now imagine presenting our stories to the world with awkward/avoidable mistakes. However, as a writer we are too involved with the story, to spot its shortcoming. This is where reviews can help.
An honest review will identify them and help the writer polish the story and take it to the next level. And this month’s event is all about reviewing each other stories. For most writers, reviewing is a secondary skill, this prompt is an effort to help the writers in upgrading their secondary arsenal.

Artales 22 Event Rules and Guidelines
- Word limit: Minimum 1500 and maximum 2000 words.–>Please note that Endnotes/footnotes in entries will be excluded from Word count only when they stand independent of the story and act as a reference.

- Reviews can be of any length and must be posted in the comment section in the FB page of the Writers Room.
- Any form of abuse in reviews/replies will lead to removal of the member from the group permanently.
- Writers/Readers can avail Green Room in case of any disputes.
- 1 story entry per person. No previously published writings.
- Writers are expected to post your entries on the ArtoonsInn Writers Room website | writers.artoonsinn.com. Sign up on the website in case you haven’t already, to submit your writing. Ensure you check relevant categories (Genre/Theme) that your story is most relevant to while submitting.
- Upload a non-copyrighted cover picture along with your writing (Refer www.unsplash.com). Make sure to add photographer credits at the bottom of your writing.
- Share the link to your story, once it is approved, in the ArtoonsInn Writers Room Facebook group with your post description and hashtags #ArtoonsInnWritersRoom #Unprompted #Artales22.
- Submissions deadline: 20th September 2021 at midnight IST. Entries submitted after the deadline will be considered as Guest entries. Winner/s will be announced on Recognition Day, 30st September 2021 on www.facebook.com/ArtoonsInn.
- Take care of your Mental Health as much as you do of your Physical Health.
