TIME TO DANCE

‘Sudden gusts of winds and the rising waves in the sea since the last few hours have caused concern amongst the researchers. They are all baffled. Stay tuned to the upcoming weather reports on your favorite news channel.’

I was feeling so good today. It was my day and I could do as I pleased.

“What are you planning, mom?” Pacific and Troposphere asked me.

“Oh, these social animals have harassed me a lot, it’s time for them to pay. You both continue your dances along with your brothers and sisters.”

I just wanted to rest. As I was about to close my eyes, I felt a tickling that made me burst out laughing.

“Stop it, what are you doing tecton?” I managed to say in between laughs.

After giving him a nod to dance too, I slept. It was a peaceful sleep after a long time. My kids were celebrating my special day. I could hear them laughing, quaking and thundering in my dreams. It was pure bliss!

‘Earthquakes have been reported from across different parts of the world. Scientists are scratching their heads behind this sudden activity of the tectonic plates in the earth’s lithosphere. More updates coming up.’

“Earth baby… what are you doing?” I woke up to an upset Moon.

“I wanted rest for myself and the kids wanted to enjoy themselves too!”

“I think that’s enough for the day. All the living things on earth are quite hassled. They are all pledging to look after you better. You can stop everyone from creating mayhem now.”

“They always say that…”

“Please,” he said.

“Only for you, my love. Only for you.”

‘Looks like the storms, tsunamis and the earthquakes have all suddenly disappeared. What a harrowing day it was!’
