The Undeveloped Film (Use the hashtag #TheUndevelopedFilm )
The Prompt:
An elderly man discovers a camera from decades ago in his attic and realises that it has a film that has not been developed. Finally, today he is going to print it. What does he discover in it that affects his life henceforth? Are there any questions unanswered or mysteries unsolved? Or is it someone he has known from the past? Weave a story around the events that unfold from here.
Rules:
1. The story should have a minimum of 2000 words and a maximum of 4000 words. The story may NOT be genre specific. Use the prompt wisely.
2. Please submit your stories through a WORD DOCUMENT to [email protected] with the subject as “#TheUndevelopedFilm story”
3. The last date to submit your story is 25th of May 2018, 23:59 and the results will be declared on 6th June 2018 at 18:00. Entries submitted after the deadline will also be shared but would not be included in the event.
4. Readers’ reactions/reviews on the story posts will be taken into consideration by noting the scores. One like/ reaction=1 point, Comment=2 points. Comments on the story posts on the website (www.artoonsinn.com) would be an added advantage.
5. Writers’ reviews on their co-participants’ stories will also be taken in consideration.
Points to note:
1. Stories will be shared on our website www.ArtoonsInn.com for the public to read. By submitting your story you agree to the sharing of your story on our website.
2. One winner gets a beautiful novel as a prize.
3. The most active participant and the best reviewer in the group throughout the event would be declared #ArtoonOfTheMonth by the end of the event.
4. Stories written prior to the event or previously published works are neither considered for winning nor will be included in the event. *Anyone sharing previously published content may be barred from the next month’s event*.
5. We don’t encourage plagiarism, kindly refrain.
6. It is suggested that if you wish to see honest reviews on your story, write your honest reviews for others as well. Our community encourages participants who support and encourage others!
7. Tag your writer friends who might be interested in participating in the event and share the joy of expression.
