“Knock! Knock! Who’s there?”

“Hey there. It’s me.”

“Me, who? I can hear a tick tock.”

“And you still cannot figure?”

“Stop playing games. I don’t have much time.”

“You need one of me for that. I am a watch.”

“Why do you sound so funny?”

“I am a bit wabbit, battery running low. Could you please stop banging against my box? Who are you?”

“I have an aura. That glint in their eyes when they zoom me off towards the firmament.”

“How far are you from your aura controlling remote, Mr Helicopter?”

“Impressive! You are smart.”

“Well, they don’t call me a smart watch for nothing.”

“You are a sophisticated one, like me.”

“Not so sure about something that relies on a remote. Stop annoying me with that knock on my box. What’s going on?”

“I wish I were not brought in an open bag unlike you. Some random kid ripped open my packaging; has been vrooming me off since then. He wont even bother to manoeuvre me into an open space.”

“That could be Alex.”

“Alex?”

“Our would be master. We are all here for him. You didn’t even know who you are for?”

“I heard someone yell at him saying, ‘Stop that, Mike. Put the toy back in the bag.’ So that makes the boy controlling me, Mike.”

“Some of my smartness rubbing off on you already. You have a view at least. Tell me what is happening outside? As a quid pro quo I will bear your banging on me.”

“As if you had any other choice. Strapped inside that box with your battery running low. To be honest, all I can see around are boxes or bags. Wait up …now I do see someone walking towards us with a machete.”

“Stop exaggerating. Must be just a paper cutter. Do you see Alex? I cannot wait him to unpack me. I, sure will be his new favourite.”

“Give me a break. If who I see, is Alex, I am winning this ‘favourite’ game. You might have to wait few more years.”

“Common, I am the kid’s version, made specially for kids, loaded with games, camera, motion sensor. They all love me. So will Alex. That does not mean he will not play with you. I am just saying I will be in touch with him. If you know what I mean. The banging has stopped. Are you resting?”

“Yes! Finally. There is a grownup with Alex. They are ripping off the boxes one after the other. I would have loved to be taken out of a box. Your turn will come soon.”

“Finally! Good to get some fresh air.”

“What is that big brown box there? C.H.A.R.I.T.Y. Is there something bigger and better?”

“Alex has finally picked up something. Braille puzzles!”

“What is that now? Why is he walking away? Pick me Alex. He didn’t even look at me.”

“We are just not good enough for Alex, Mr Helicopter. See you in the C.H.A.R.I.T.Y box.”
